Client Profile
Kolor Plus Studio is a company with over 20 years of experience in the advertising and printing market. With a modern and constantly developing machine park, it delivers innovative solutions — from UV and large-format printing to precise laser cutting, CNC milling, and engraving.
Our Client specializes in the sale and comprehensive processing of plastics such as plexiglass, polycarbonate, Dibond, and PVC. The offer also includes ready-made products — e.g., photo frames, book stands, leaflet holders, and business card holders.
Thanks to continuous technological development, Kolor Plus Studio ensures full control over every stage of production, guaranteeing precision, repeatability, and adaptation to the individual needs of customers.
Client Challenges
Due to the wide range of product personalization options available on the website, quotes were prepared individually based on inquiries sent via email/phone. This extended lead times, generated additional costs, and negatively impacted the customer’s shopping experience.
Sales were conducted through marketplaces, and order management via the integrated Baselinker turned out not to be an entirely optimal solution. Hence, the idea was born to create an online store called PLEXIGO, which gives customers the opportunity to configure their orders independently.
Our Client wanted to simplify the ordering process — both for themselves and for their customers. To eliminate time-consuming quotations, they were looking for a tool that would allow self-service product personalization and instantly display and update pricing depending on the individual product characteristics.
What We Did
The online store plexigo.pl was built on the WooCommerce system.
As part of the platform implementation, we created a multi-step configurator for made-to-measure products. Its goal is to simplify the personalization and ordering process.
Users can select the shape, size, thickness of the material, add holes and/or cutouts, and then adjust them to their needs (e.g., rounded corners, internal cutouts, hole shapes, and dimensions).
The system continuously updates the price and provides a visualization of the project as product specifications change.
If the user has their own design, they can upload it in DXF format and immediately receive a quote and delivery terms or request an individual quote.
Implementation Challenges
The development work and configurator implementation were a major challenge — the tool was designed to provide the user with maximum product personalization, which meant handling countless combinations of parameters and settings. This also required extensive testing of the configurator by both the Media4U team and the Client.

Thanks to the implementation of the multi-step configurator for made-to-measure products, the ordering process became more automated and transparent. Customers can intuitively personalize products according to their own needs.

The system automatically updates the price in real time, eliminating the need for manual quotes and speeding up purchasing decisions. All this contributes to increasing the number of completed projects, minimizing errors, and streamlining the production process.

Orders are efficiently directed to production without the need to manually rewrite data from external forms and orders — the Client receives a ready-to-use file that can be imported into the production application.
