Marilyn Facts Matter by Power BI

Marilyn is a leading hosiery and lingerie manufacturer with over 20 years of experience in the e-commerce market. Our cooperation began with the implementation of a system on our proprietary Cartalo software.

Assumptions

 

Focusing on growth, our client decided to introduce the Facts Matter by Power BI analytics service. Due to an extensive e-commerce system, it was necessary to improve the management of data that was scattered and difficult to access quickly. The client was also keen for accurate cost analysis, which would allow a better understanding of expenditure and optimise operations.

Our main objective was to organise the data, which involved collecting it from various sources and integrating it. We took data from the reporting database of the client’s system and from Google Analytics, using our internal data export tool.

The analytics dashboard provides clear presentations of the data, enabling easy conclusions to be drawn. Thanks to the fast data conversion, the client can monitor changes in its e-store in real time. Sales data is updated several times a day and Google Analytics data once a day.

How did the implementation work?

 

Implementing Facts Matter by Power BI required our full commitment and a dedicated approach, which allowed us to tailor the solution to the client’s specific needs. We started the process with meetings during which we outlined the implementation work plan. As a first step, we analysed the client’s needs and created a list of necessary reports. We then proceeded with the programming work, creating a report base for a dedicated e-commerce system running on the Cartalo engine. The next step was to connect the data sources and create specific, updated reports.

What have we achieved?

 

At this point, we collect data from various sources in a database structure of 40 tables. In total, several tens of thousands of records are downloaded into the system daily. Thanks to Facts Matter by Power BI, our client has transparent reports from which he can easily draw conclusions for his business.

However, we are not stopping in our collaboration. We also plan to integrate with Google Ads, which will allow the client to study the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. In the next stages, we also plan to plug in data from advertising accounts on Meta platforms.
