What is InPost Pay?

Inpost Pay is an innovative combination of payment and delivery in one, offered by the popular courier solutions provider – InPost. In essence, the payment is based on InPost’s proprietary application, designed to manage parcels sent and received via parcel lockers efficiently.

The solution aims to provide users with a smoother order fulfilment process, eliminating the need to go to the online store’s shopping cart. It involves placing a button on the product page and at checkout. Clicking on this button in the dedicated InPost Pay app will take you to the cart associated with the store.

How to use InPost Pay?

To start using the InPost Pay service, you must activate it in the InPost Mobile app. You can use it on both Android and iOS devices.

After activation, select the “Add to InPost Pay cart” button on the product page in the online store. If you are purchasing for the first time in a particular browser, you will be asked to provide your mobile number. This allows the selected product to be automatically added to the InPost app cart. Subsequent products added to the cart in the same store will also be added to the InPost app cart simultaneously. After completing your purchases, you can pay for them in the InPost app. Payment options include credit card, Blik, digital wallet, or cash on delivery. After the transaction is finalized, the package with the order will be sent using the last selected delivery method, such as to a previously chosen parcel locker.

Implementation Results

The integration was carried out using the InPost Pay API and involved mirroring the store’s cart in the InPost app, transferring and updating product information such as status, price, description, photos, and features. Implementing InPost Pay by Media4U has allowed Varlesca and Ryłko customers to streamline the payment process and avoid filling out extensive forms multiple times during purchases.
